Are Our Children More Troubled Than We Think?
A conversation with a child mental health advocate about academic pressure, social anxiety and emotional support in schools.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Nirav Thakkar, a child mental health advocate, mentor, and Principal at AG Teachers School. Dr. Thakkar, or Niravbhai as we know him, has also been a family friend for more than three decades. He shared insights into children's issues and his dedication to their mental well-being.
He shared practical ideas to help children handle academic pressure and social anxiety, as well as the importance of emotional support in schools. His interpretation and sharing about the nine types of intelligence in human beings was mind-boggling.
Just as moving was his journey of serving at Shri Kacchi Jain Seva Samaj over the last seven years.
His vision aligns perfectly with my own belief in nurturing future leaders by addressing their core needs. I hope we can make a huge impact together.
